Meanwhile, the subjects given milk tea showed no cardiovascular improvements and retained the same heart function as before the study. These researchers hypothesized that a protein called casein, found in milk, can bind to the flavonoids in tea and inhibit their function.

Overall, tea mixed with milk is still very healthy and might even provide some unique benefits since milk is good for us on its own merit.
